Art Maui is,"an annual exhibition of juried art works in all media by Maui County Artists" held at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center (the MACC) in the Schaefer International Gallery in Kahului, Maui. This year 327 artist entered 513 creations were looked at by one of the original founders of Art Maui, Tom Klobe. In the end he chose 143 works by 127 residents of Maui.

This is the first time that Matt has had art selected for this competition. We wanted to share with you when and where you can see this years selection of artwork. Matt's selected piece is one of his largest paintings to date. In addition, "Maui" is also a part of Matt's exploration into Maui Mythology.

• Where - showing at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center Schaefer International Gallery.  
• Artists Reception: Saturday, March 24, 2012.
•  Friends and Family of selected artists are invited from 2-4 p.m.. There will be an introduction of the 2012 artists, pupus, and a no-host bar. 
• Art Maui Exhibition Dates: Monday, March 26 to Friday, April 20; 
• 11 a.m.-5 p.m., daily and evenings before Castle Theater shows
• March 25 CLOSED (due to event)
