Boreas and Charity - Two Portraits, one reproduction of John Waterhouse

YouTube is the new way that we are presenting the artwork of Matt Holton. Shot in 4K video, this way the artwork is shared with you in motion, and as close to seeing it in person as we can get to you on the internet. Experience the artwork through this different way of seeing it before you visit the studio and gallery, get familiar with the experience of the artwork.
Featured in this video are two pieces. Boreas is the latest piece that Matt has finished. It is a replica of the original piece of artwork that was created in the early 1900's and was then lost for 90 years. This time away was one of Matt's inspirations to paint the work, as it has just not been seen. The second piece of artwork featured in the video is Charity. Charity, is a portrait of a girl who was the model for "Through the Looking Glass", by writer and photographer Lewis Carroll. What these pieces have in common are the themes of goddesses, beauty, and color.
